>	COBOL DIVIDE Statement The COBOL DIVIDE statement divides one numeric data item into/by others and sets the values of data items equal to the quotient and remainder.
>	COBOL DIVIDE Statement The COBOL DIVIDE statement divides one numeric data item into one or more others, assigns the result to a data item, and optionally assigns a remainder to another data item. There are five formats of the COBOL DIVIDE statement
>	COBOL DIVIDE Statement The basic form of the COBOL DIVIDE statement is: DIVIDE value INTO field-1, which divides value (either a literal or a field) into field-1 and stores the result in field-1.
