| RE: Nonstop Tandem cobol help
Message: The Tandem NonStop COBOL85 compiler is somewhat unique.
I should know, I wrote half of it and maintained all of it by
myself until I retired. It is written in Tal, a language you won't
see anywhere else. The latest revision to in in Cupertino (at
HP, since Tandem has been subsumed by HP) is written in C. In
addition, it contains many features that are unique to NonStop
systems. In addition, many newer COBOL compilers contain
COBOL 2002 features. COBOL85 has some, but not the really
big ones like object orientation. Anyhow, I wish you good luck.
