Subject: Need help finding Cobol compiler
Message: I wanted to play around with colbol. I took it in college but never did anything with it. While I was in college (around 1997,98) there was this guy who had the same compiler we was using at the college on his laptop. It had a green screen, just like at the college. I am looking for this to put on my laptop. Anybody know what the name of that compiler could be?

Message: I am not sure what compiler you are speaking of? I purchased the University Edition from Net Express and it is good for playing around. It was approx. 100.00. You can go to www.microfocus.com. As far as a free one I wouldn't waste my time with a free one.
Net Express has some pretty cool up to date technology integrated into their Net Express 4.0 version of their product. Paired with another language like VB, if you have the Microsoft VB.NET, you can really do some cool stuff.
