Subject: CopyBooks
Message: Hello,
I am very new to Fujitsu Cobol. My current experience is with HP3000 Cobol. HP's Cobol supports macros which, as I understand it, is not supported in Fujitsu (.Net). I am trying to figure out what I could use to replace macros. One thought was to use Copybooks. Is there a REPLACING mechinism to replace text within a Copybook?
Is there other way to accomplish what I'm wanting to do?
Thanks,
Dave

Message: COPY ... REPLACING has been part COBOL since 1968, and the Fujitsu compiler includes it. So it should work fine for you.

Message: I also noticed that I MUST end my COPY statement with a period. This causes a problem when I want to inject code with an IF statement.
Is there a way to accomplish the COPY without having to use a period.
Thanks
