 Subject: CopyBooks

Hello,
I am very new to Fujitsu Cobol. My current experience is with HP3000 Cobol. HP's Cobol supports macros which, as I understand it, is not supported in Fujitsu (.Net). I am trying to figure out what I could use to replace macros. One thought was to use Copybooks. Is there a REPLACING mechinism to replace text within a Copybook?
Is there other way to accomplish what I'm wanting to do?

COPY ... REPLACING has been part COBOL since 1968, and the Fujitsu compiler includes it. So it should work fine for you.

I also noticed that I MUST end my COPY statement with a period. This causes a problem when I want to inject code with an IF statement.
Is there a way to accomplish the COPY without having to use a period.
