Subject: List of Mainframes

Message:
Does anyone have or know of a public list of companies that use a mainframe computer?
Such a list would be useful in a job search.
Thanks

RE: List of Mainframes

Message:
I don't believe such a list is available.

IBM certainly won't release a list of their customers, nor will most other mainframe software or hardware vendors.

RE: List of Mainframes

Message:
I think that a list of mainframe computer installations would be very useful for the COBUG community. I mean, that's where we work.

We all know where we work and have worked.

IMHO a list of locations where we can look would be very valuable.

How about making a list right here on COBUG?
Thanks
Joe

Message:
Splendid idea - one that I have never had any luck in accomplishing. Even CE's don't know of all mainframes within my region.
