Subject: Error message


Message:
When I tried to use Net Express 5.1 to wtite a CGI based application I get the error message that "Form Designer requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or greater installed" and the program terminates. "Execution error: 'formdctl'"

I am using Windows XP Pro and SP3 and IE 8. What am I missing?

Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Hi again,
I have installed Net Express 5.1 on XP with Explorer 8. Go into Net Express and select new etc and create a test program with no problem. Not sure what is causing your problem.

Will have to get more details:
Did you install EXPLORER 8 after Net Express. Did you install Net Express with all the Internet options. Is the .Net installed and was it installed at the time of installing Net Express. Are you using the Beta version of explorer 8.
Have you tried uninstalling Net Express and then installing .Net and the latest explorer 8 and then re-installing Net Express.
